DIVERSITY PROGRAM
About The Diversity Program
This program involves recruitment, mentoring and professional development for women and under-represented minority students (URM) in Business.Current programs include participation in a Welcome Reception for Students of Color, Minority Book Awards, LGBTQ student sponsorship at the annual Out For Business Conference.
At the same time, however, BOLD provides an arena for both minority and majority students to collaborate and incubate ideas that encompass a wealth of diverse perspectives and talents through its Student Advisory Board (SAB). This Board serves as a direct pipeline into BOLD’s programming and gives both URM and majority students opportunities to showcase their unique talents and strengths and begin a lifelong practice of diversity awareness and creating inclusion in their personal lives, the workplace, and their communities. Each year, the SAB hosts an inclusive BOLD Connections event.
Every other year, BOLD offers an interactive, simulation event called Privilege, Power, and Oppression (P2O)™ to engage students in recognizing how systemic levels of privilege impact personal experiences and social identity. This human game board challenges them to examine diversity and inclusion as it relates to them and others. See web site here.
